The Next 20lbs…Getting Down to 240

As of right now, I currently weigh anywhere between 260 and 265 depending what time of day it is and what I have shoveled into my body. That is a far cry from the 300lbs I weighed a little less than a year ago. It has been a long journey losing those 40 lbs… I really wish that I had started this blog back when I decided to change things up so you could follow along the entire path. I’m going to be honest the first twenty pounds were real easy. I fully expected to drop that weight quick because I had lost 40 lbs before and knew how fast weight can drop when you stick to your diet. The next twenty was a real struggle, dropping from 280 to 260. I was well aware that it would be just knowing how my body is. It really became difficult once I hit 265.. the pounds just weren’t shedding anymore… that and it was smack dab in the middle of softball season. Beers, eating late night shitty meals from a bar or restaurant.. I’m not going to knock pizza or chicken wings… hell, I review pizza every now and again, and I score movies based off of a dozen wings when I do, “Al On Movies” on Twitter… LargeAlan24 is the Twitter handle.

I may have missed documenting the first 40 lbs that I lost but I will not miss the next 20.. and I’m going to bring all of you along on this journey that is sure to be the most challenging. The keto diet helped in losing a great portion of those 40lbs, however I have been reintroducing carbs back into the diet to gear up for these next 20. Just playing around with stuff so the body does not get too comfortable. There is going to be a lot of cardio that I’m going to throw in… nothing too crazy, I’m still a large man that does not like running or jogging long distances. It will be a lot of walking, along with active cardio so cardio won’t seem boring to me.

I will share my workouts for the day along with the feeding schedule.. because 90% of this will fall completely on my diet and nutrient timing throughout the day. The workouts are not going to be anything insane.. those days of maxing out lifts are way behind me. Once you’ve deadlifted 600, squatted 500, and benched 400.. there’s really no point in chasing the next 100 in those lifts because something is sure to break. Being in my mid 30s that is the last thing that I want at this point in life. I already wake up with a sore back and that is bad enough.. I don’t need to deal with anything more severe than that.

This will be something that everyone can do and follow along with ease… as long as you have the will power and determination to sticking with the diet. Hell I may even post a couple progress pics. The hardest part of this is going to be me quite possibly losing my Plus Size status… there aren’t any Plus Size Male Fitness Models out there so I may just start that category up just to keep Plus Size in there. If by some chance the abs start appearing.. there will definitely be pics… I don’t want to be one of those guys but I figure it would be much deserved after all the work.

I look forward to sharing this next journey with all of you and hopefully a couple of you join in and start your own weight loss journey. I really just want to show that anything is possible when you set a goal and go all in 100%…

Let the adventure begin!!
