Holy shit! It has been damn near a month since I have written a blog post… that is far too long of a time, especially in this digital world. It might as well be 3 years. Any momentum that was built up, has for sure stalled. It is just not on here but also the YouTube page that I had been working on building up. I have really let you all down, not to mention myself. I enjoy hopping on here and sharing some of my stories and experiences with everyone. It really seems to help me out.. lets the creative juices flow, as well as help me express myself, which is sometimes a chore for me.
You are probably wondering, “Large Alan, where the hell have you been?.. What have you been doing in that time?” Well.. since the last blog post, I have dipped my toes into streaming on Twitch. Okay, it may be a little more than just dipping my toes in… I pretty much went full cannonball into streaming. It has become something that I enjoy just as much as waking up and going to the gym in the morning. The ability to play a game and entertain people is extremely fun and very addicting. Just being able to hop on and go live no matter the size of the audience is a thrill. This was something I had been flirting with for awhile, kept saying that I was going to do it and just never did because of some bullshit excuse. Not thinking that I was good enough to do it, not knowing if anyone would enjoy watching me or listening to my commentary. I am so glad I took that leap and said “Fuck it… its my time!!”
By no means am I streaming to thousands of people.. yet. That takes a lot of time to build up to those numbers. However, getting an audience of 4-16 is good enough for me right now, especially since I don’t have a camera on me. That early success of having an audience has really propelled me into taking the next step in the process. That next step is building a pc and getting a webcam so people can relate visually to me and not just my voice/laugh, especially when I do something incredibly stupid. Trust me, I make plenty of dumb mistakes while I am playing, its all part of the fun and why I hope to keep building it up. I find it enjoyable and relaxing.. the more people that tune in and hop in chat the better for me. Make no doubt about it, I treat having 4 people watching as if there was 4,000. I have always wanted to entertain people just by being myself and here is finally my chance at that.. combine that with my love for video games and it just seems to fit.
With that being said, the workouts in the gym every morning have been going great. I recently added carbs back into the diet.. which I am so irresponsible when it comes to counting carbs. My weight has gone up a rather embarrassing amount since reintroducing them. Even though it has been mostly just white rice, it has really taken its toll on the number on the scale. I should know better though then to look too heavily into what that damn thing reads. After all it is just a number, and not a true measure of what is really going on. Sure I have probably added some fat back onto my body.. at the same time I am feeling thick.. or is it thicc..or thicke… either way I am feeling good. I for sure am not feeling bloated or fat at all. Just feel like I’m adding some quality muscle in areas that had decreased after dropping 40lbs like it was nothing. In all honesty, I expected the scale to rise with the reintroduction of carbs. If I feel as though it is getting out of hand, I’ll just adjust the diet as needed. I’ll just have to monitor that closely and see how that plays out.
I do promise all of you to be more active with my blog posts and update a hell of a lot more on my YouTube page. Really thinking about doing a daily vlog but we will see about that. Ultimately that would be something I would really like to do.. it would help the brand out a lot. It is something I will have to play with and see where it goes. The Twitch thing is definitely going to keep happening and it is building a little audience which I fully intend on growing. As always the gym will forever be part of everything because that is what gets me going in the morning and makes for a happy Large Alan. When Large Alan is happy… everybody is happy!
